What was it like?

Post by Nickswitz »

As most of us who are on, or at least a lot of us, weren't around before the "Big Change" to the forum, so, what did it look like, Ian, Graham, any pictures, or anything. I'm curious. As well as posting screens, etc... And why besides speed did you change it?

It was a wild and pristine land, with fields of booze and herds of strippers as far as the eye could see.

Well, the avatars and user information was all on the left side of the screen, and they used to be a lot smaller. That took some time to get used to.

They were mostly just minor cosmetic changes, as far as I can tell.
The little symbols that told you in there was a new post in a thread looked different.
THe DITL logo up top used to just redirect you back to the forum index, and the link was changed to the main site after I suggested it.
Sigs used to be smaller, I think.
The background was a different colour, I think.
We had less forums and no subforums.

That's just off the top of my head.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
