Well...pretty slow and most of the rotation seemed to work due to camera rotation..... I tried to use the bird of prey background as referencepoint but it is really hard to tell imho.Tsukiyumi wrote: Negh'var at 1:52 in.

Re: Dominion War Refit Galaxy-class vs Negh'var-class Cruiser
I remember being a bit surprised at how fast it turned in that scene when it first aired; regardless of camera trickery, that's a pretty fast turn for a ship that size. I don't think a GCS would be able to stay out of the way for long unless they performed some pretty drastic maneuvers.

Re: Dominion War Refit Galaxy-class vs Negh'var-class Cruiser
Have a look at my previous post there are a few examples.
Regardless, DITL lists her as 682metres and qite a bit lighter than the GCS.(about half a million tons) I do not know how canon those figures are but I am actually suprised that its quite a bit smalles than the GCS (not in lenght but overall).
Maybe we are all a bit influenced by the Mirror Universe vs Defiant battle but she doesn't seem to be such an ubership.

I don't think she's an ubership; I think she's at least a match for the refit GCS, if not a decent amount more powerful due to her weapons. I think GK's figures on the main site are pretty much right on the money.Atekimogus wrote:Have a look at my previous post there are a few examples.

Well, guten tag to you, and I think you're doing fine so far writing in English.

This was more of a grammatical usage/context slip-up. "Stroke" is the correct spelling, but when used in that sentence, it was just too funny to pass up.Nickswitz wrote:I meant the spelling, lol.
Anyways, I think the Negh would be more than a match for the War GCS, slight maneuverability edge aside.

The GCS is poorly designed for quick maneuvers, with the big saucer out front and the nacelles in back. If anything it'd be a pig to turn.

Just watched it twice over. No camera rotation. The BoP trio turn in form with the Vorcha.Atekimogus wrote:Well...pretty slow and most of the rotation seemed to work due to camera rotation..... Re: Dominion War Refit Galaxy-class vs Negh'var-class Cruiser
The Negh'var wasn't meant to do anything but move those big guns around for use against heavy targets. While the Negh may not be as big as the GCS, her guns out class anything we've seen.Regardless, DITL lists her as 682metres and qite a bit lighter than the GCS.(about half a million tons) I do not know how canon those figures are but I am actually suprised that its quite a bit smalles than the GCS (not in lenght but overall).
