Has ANYBODY ever heard of either of my characters?

I've heard of Belgarion, but I don't know much about him or the series.

Need a little help here, guys...
As my seocndary char/sidekick, I could either go with something common-sense but boring, like an attendant techmarine or something.

OR, I could go with something off-the-wall, destined to create tension, infighting, and drama... but something for which I have a plausible backstory for him and my other char to be in the same place at the same time.

Thoughts?

Yep, an Eldar ranger from Iyanden - so he has a shared reason with Ashok to hate the Tyranids. I was gonna go with an Aspect Warrior, but I thought it made more sense that Iyanden was so low on numbers that they wouldn't send their Dire Avengers out on a 'Nid hunt. Besides, I think a recon/sniper unit complements the characters we have better.

I think you're right. The only other possible sniper is my Predator character. Seems we are short on stealth.

Any of the Astartes should be able to do stealth, hell if the Space Wolves can, anyone can. Might be a little difficult for a 70 ton war machine though.

Edit: In Space Wolf, we learn that a bolt pistol has a range of 300 strides. A normal stride for a bog standard human is 3-4 feet, a SM is something like 9 feet tall. That pretty much makes any SM a sniper.

Cain's pretty damn good at going unnoticed when he needs to.
Jurgen's a tad obvious though. The whole "making them freak out wildly" thing might tip the bad guys off if they've got a few psychics with them.
Then again, who needs stealth when you've got a meltagun?

The fact that Ferik smells like an ork in a heatwave might negate some stealth, also.
