New Trailer

Good trailer I thought. And HOLY CRAP but what is happening to that planet at the end, there. It's not a "sucked into a black hole" deal like the one we saw before... something is blowing up in a bloody big bang nearby and fragging the entire planet!

I'm getting a vibe from Nero that I haven't since Khan, good stuff. And is that a dedicated drop bay on the Big E?

You mean this trailer is NEWER than the last one we saw? The one that revealed more of the conversation with Kirk and Pike?

Nice CGI, and its freaky how much McCoy looks like the old one.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

It's a TV spot.

Ok fine I watched it. :(

Interesting tag line; "Forget everything you know."

Wonder if that's directed at die hard trekkies?

I think that's just advertising boilerplate intended to draw in some new people - i.e. "you don't have to be a geek to enjoy it." I wouldn't read too much into it.

Very cool.
WRT the big bang at the end, did Nero perhaps get a hold of some sort of sun-buster tech?

Maybe it's Romulus being destroyed by the Hobus star exploding like in the Star Trek Countdown #2.
There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

I like explosions. :Drool2:
I might see it just for the big booms.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.
