Ol' skipper W'trisk has starship helm, tac, and ops experience... I wouldn't mind turning my runabout around and going for them, or sacrificing it and helping commandeer a ship. Thoughts?

I like that. Alot actually. Shall we do it against the Admiral's orders, just to show Captain Smurf hasn't changed all THAT much?

Technically, I'm supposed to still be sitting on the bridge of the Daystrom...

Greyson: "Damnit W'strik! What the hell are you doing on that runabout instead of the bridge of your ship? I'm not risking anymore lives going back. Survivors are extremely unlikely. What are you doing? Turn that runabout around NOW Captain! If you don't I'll have you commanding a subspace relay outpost!"

Mikey replies with a rude gesture with his antenne

that could work:

the marines already sent their message informing everyone where they were
W'trisk could intercept and go after them.
In orbit the ship get's shot down, but he is able to transport to the surface first.
He lands about the same time the Marines rebel, and with his help from the outside make it to a Bug
The Dominion faction tracks the bug back to the base and we have the siege we needed to end the first stage.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

A reasonable way they find the base. The bug Mikey and the Marines steal could have been planted and loaded with a subspace tracking device. After all, the Dominion would assume we'd come for our people now that we know they're alive.

"They're tracking us."
"Not this ship sister."
"It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape."
"Easy? You call that easy?"
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

I'm the only pc iirc but none of the marines have access to a radio

Wait a tick... Dansch just sent the message before Corrin got shot, but so far hasn't left the control room. I could just match the frequency and triangulate the source to come back to you on the same channel. I'm assuming Corrin is hurt but not KIA, right?

Correct but the position would have been over run. Unless they communicated within 30 secs of the transmission they'll be back in their cell

OK, a small seed of an idea is beginning to germinate... Staplic, if I manage to get a simple message to you, you think you could follow up with somehow getting a ship and dragging your wounded with you?
