The ROAST of William Shatner

Post by MetalHead »

Probablly a repost. But funnier than HELL. George Takei surprises me with how funny he was, and the whole thing is hysterical. Some quick apperances from Jeri Ryan, Brent Spiner, and believe it or not, Carey Fisher (spelling, woops). Hysterical, start to finish.

The Trek related appearances were pretty good but people like andy dick shouldn't have been allowed, they werent funny and just disrupted everything.

I saw it when it was first aired quite some time ago. I thought it was great, especially some of the TOS cast being able to take (and give) some good-natured jokes about ethnic or cultural groups - namely, Nichelle Nichols and George Takei.

I found Lisa Lampenelli quite funny. Although god she is so blunt!

And Takei was pretty damn good.

I've got to take the time to watch that thing.

I found the whole thing amusing, and although I found them funny I found it odd some of those comedians were there. Roasts are supposed to be friends mocking you, not randoms.

"Most of your friends are dead or hate you"

there's truth in that. But remember they needed COMEDY, comedians, not science fiction action/drama actors.

True, but in fairness I found Lisa, Jeff Ross, and Patton to be the funniest. George Takei was pretty damn funny, and I loved Nichelle's line about "lets make TV history again...kiss my black ass!" hahahaha
