Famous last words

Post by thelordharry »

Justs for sh*ts and giggles :)

How about some comical last words. For example:

"Hey guys, watch this!"
"What does this button do?"
"You are a coward Klingon!" etc etc

Think of any funny ones? :)

A few inmates last words before execution :-

"Well, gentlemen, you are about to see a baked Appel" - George Appel, executed by the electric chair.

"How about this for a headline for tomorrow's paper? French fries" - James French, also given the chair

"I'd like to thank my family for loving me and taking care of me. And the rest of the world can kiss my ass" -Johnny Frank Garrett, Sr

"I'd rather be fishing." - Jimmy Glass
"You ain't gonna get off down the trail a mile or two, and go missing your wife or something, like our last cook done, are you?"
"My wife is in hell, where I sent her. She could make good biscuits, but her behavior was terrible."

I can't remember the name, but that was a Confederate general talking about snipers, right?

Not quite, it was a Union general - Maj Gen John Sedgwick, at the Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse. Wiki says he was the senior Union officer to be killed in the war.

On a vaguely related note, why do the names of US battles so often sound like something out of Monty Python?

We're a wacky country.
