That's about as good a summation of the episode as I can think of.

If it was Q making them do that, then all right. But those Vegas aliens? Thank you, but no thank you! :wtf:

I remember that one now. Oh God........that was painful. I almost gave up on DS9 over that one.

Are we talking about the one with the probability-altering glowing globes, or a different one?

I kind of liked the one with the probability altering balls. Chris Sarandon is always fun to watch, and it did show the beginning of the burgeoning relationship between Bashir and O'Brien.

And I did like Dax's highly scientific way of shutting the devices down.

"Where's the off button"
"They don't have one"
"No problem - phaser setting 5"
"You ain't gonna get off down the trail a mile or two, and go missing your wife or something, like our last cook done, are you?"
"My wife is in hell, where I sent her. She could make good biscuits, but her behavior was terrible."

Different ep. "Move Along Home" is the name, and it makes the one with the game-globes look like Emmy material in comparison.

From what I've heard, I won't be too keen on seeing that ep.

DS9 really DID have some awful episodes.

Every show did.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Aye, you can say that of any series.

Ummm... OK...

I think it stands out with DS9 because that series had the largest spread from awfulness to greatness.
