Ultimate Timeline, Part I: Beginning to 1 BC

Post by Varthikes »

Wasn't sure if this should go here, in the Art Forum, or in the Recreation Forum, but here it is:

As I mentioned sometime ago in the "Everything Else" Forum, I was putting together an ultimate timeline, a compilation of events from various different Universes: Star Trek, Star Wars (only what pertains directly to the movies), FarScape, Babylon 5, Stargate, real world, bits from my Universe, and Transformers (based only on the recent live action movie).

Here is the first part. From the Beginning of Time to 1 BC

Please note: Presented in this timeline is a connection between Star Wars and Stargate Universes only. All others are happening parallel to each other.

Key:

Real World
Star Trek
Babylon 5
Stargate
Star Wars
Galaxy Voyagers (My Universe)
FarScape
Transformers

The fighting eventually escalates into bloody conflict with claws and early makeshift weapons. Goa'uld population drops drastically.

c. 66,000 BC
-- Unas population begins to thrive again. Unblended Unas are found in remote areas, wary of the parasites. Even in this state, the blended Unas are superior in every way, having developed a social structure, functional languate, and tool use. Larval numbers are artificially limited through cannibalism to control population growth.

c. 42,200 BC
-- The Goa'uld recover rapidly from a thriving, though small, society--helped by their genetic memory, which accelerates their development at a geometric rate. They shortly re-discover the stargate and begin exploring other worlds to hunt and seek new hosts. --- Is entirely abandoned, saved as a breeding ground for Unas hosts, who still live in fear under the boot of their parasitical oppressors.

-- Goa'uld leadership is formed from the early Unas tribal culture, lead by Atok. This leadership would rise to the first recognized Goa'uld order, fueled by the impressive physical forms and near-magical technology salvaged from the Ancients' ruins.

- The navigational computers of an Asgard ship, with its crew in suspended animation, becomes damaged. The ship is left to drift across galaxies until it reaches the Milky Way. (SG1: "Revelations")

c. 24,997 BC
- Milky Way Galaxy:
-- At the dawn of their period of usefulness, the Eidelons develope need of a guard. A race with which no one had quarrel. A force to ensure harmony prevailed once negotiations had finished. Choosing a species no one had met before, they found one primitive, barely clothed, far removed on the galaxy's outer spiral. They brought a sample of the species back with them and accelerated their evolution with generous alterations. The Sebaceans became the Eidelons' trusted acolytes. Thus, the creation of the Peacekeepers. It is theorized that the Sebaceans' fore bearers were Humans. (FS: PKW)[color]

c. 22,000 BC
-- Petty squabbling among the Goa'uld eventually give way to new leadership by Apep, physically superior to the son of Atok, who brutally kills the warlord in public fashion in full view of the other Goa'uld. Apep divides Atok's forces equally among the strongest and solicits their stewardship. To his underlords, Apep uses them to secure the peace, ensuring that no one among them becomes too powerful.

-- Apep decrees his underlords as his brothers and sisters in rulership, although he remains firmly in control. The underlords -- Ra, Nut, Thoth and their servants Osiris, Isis, and Bastet -- pledge their loyalty and, for a time, a single united leadership rules the Goa'uld. Thus united, the symbiotes sweep through the galaxy like a plague. Their numbers swell and the Unas are nearly wiped out -- again too many larval Goa'uld ar bred. In addition, the life of the Goa'uld is significantly lengthened, creating even more of a population problem. Apep continues the ancient practice of ritual cannibalism.

c. 18,000 BC
-- With large portions of the stargate network mapped, vast fleets at their disposal, and no sign of the Ancients, the Goa'uld begin to carve up their spoils amongst themselves.

-- Thoth reworks Ancient technology and creates the first sarcophagus. The device is primitive but powerful, able to sustain an Unas host for several generations. The device, however, introduced naquadah to the larva's bloodstream and the Goa'uld queens are unable to prevent its transference to future larva.

c. 17,800 BC
-- Apep begins to falter as leader of the Goa'uld and demonstrates signs of madness. Anubis is found at Apep's side, becoming the ruler's most trusted and rewarded adviser. His original sons and daughters, including Ra, looked on as Anubis is favored unlike no other.

c. 17,500 BC
-- Anubis solicits from Apep the secret location of a great cache of Ancients' weapons. Anubis learns the location by forcibly exposing Apep to Thoth's sarcophagus, driving the Goa'uld further from sanity.

-- Determined to rule the Goa'uld, Anubis makes his bid for power, utilizing a super weapon, which harnassed enormous amounts of power. Before the other Goa'uld, he forcibly removes Apep's symbiote and devours it, declaring himself Emperor. Betrayed, the other Goa'uld band their forces together to defeat Anubis. The battles rage for a hundred years. Entire star systems were destroyed and legions of Unas fall in the crossfire. The Goa'uld themselves are nearly decimated, but eventually defeated Anubis and destroyed his forces. The Lord of the Dead is captured and banished.

c. 17,400 BC
-- Ra institutes himself as ruler of the Goa'uld, again taking on the leadership structure originally formed by Apep. Thoth is also banished for his part, although his understudy, Telchak remains. Bastet is rewarded for her help against Anubis. Osiris and Isis joined the ranks of the Goa'uld underlords as well, and Anubis' super weapon is dismantled. Ra takes the six crystals that power the device and divides them amongst the remaining loyal Goa'uld, knowing that his species petty bickering would ensure that the weapon is never used again.

c. 16,000 BC
-- Ra appoints a new hierarchy of rulers to aid in governing. By once again dividing the spoils of several millennia of conquest, Ra creates a cadre of System Lords. Membership to the body was by vote of existing members and afforded many benefits, including access to the Unas hosts in order to maintain armies. This power structure would last up to the 21st Century.

-- Ra anoints Egeria his queen. Ra would take other queens throughout his long rule, including Hathor.

-- Osiris, Isis, Tiamat, and Yu join the ranks of the System Lords. Minor underlords include Ba'al, Heru'ur, and Setesh.

c. 14,000 BC
-- Naquadah, foundation of Ancient and Goa'uld tech, is discovered in small quantities. Ra petitions the System Lords for a new era of expansion and offers exclusive rights and access to Unas in exchange for naquadah shipments. Their attention diverted, the System Lords begin a race of exploration.

- Pegasus Galaxy:
-- War between the Ancients and the Wraith breaks out when the Wraith begin consuming Human populations (SGA)

-- Lantea:
--- Ancient scientists develop nanites to kill the Wraith from within. Nanites exceed their programming and take on human form. These human-form Replicators are settled on Asuras, becoming Asurans. Deemed as a failed experiment, the Ancients send warships to Asuras and bombard the Asuran settlement to destroy them. Unbeknownst to the Ancients, however, some nanites survive and begin to rebuild their society. (SGA: "Progeny")

--- The Lagrange Point Satellite is built and placed as a last line of defense for Atlantis (SGA: "The Defiant One")

--- The Ancients create another device designed to kill the Wraith from within by creating explosive tumors, but was abandoned because it turned out to be harmful to everyone in proximity -- Human and Wraith alike. (SGA: "Sunday")

-- Doranda:
--- The Ancients develop Project Arcturus meant to be a powerful energy weapon. However, the technology is untested and ends up killing several Ancients and Dorandans before the Wraith return to the world and destroy it. (SGA: "Trinity")

-- Lantea:
--- An underwater drilling platform is constructed to draw geothermal energy into Atlantis. (SGA: "Submersion")

-- Taranis:
--- The Ancients construct a hangar facility to keep one of their damaged warships. The facility is built in the caldera of a dormant supervolcano to utilize geothermal energy drawn up from the magma chamber. Because of the dangers of causing the volcano to reawaken, they program several failsafes to prevent the shields from being run continuously at maximum capacity for an extende period of time. (SGA: "Inferno")

-- The Ancients create "Sanctuary" where they and others could hide from Wraith attacks inside a time dilation field powered by a ZPM. The doorway is one-way. It's main purpose was to provide hiding from the Wraith and allow its residence to seek ascension. (SGA: "Epiphany")

-- One by one, Ancient worlds fall to the Wraith. The Ancients abandon their great cities, including one on Athos. The Humans remaining on Athos would never venture into the city for fear of summoning the Wraith. (SGA: "Rising")

-- The Ancients send out three powerful warships into Wraith territory. They are captured, and the Wraith use their ZPMs to power a cloning facility to produce thousands upon thousands of drone soldiers. With such great numbers, the Wraith are able to win the war. (SGA: "Spoils of War")

-- An Ancient warship looses communication and shields when the Wraith attack. Although the engines are damaged, they manage to escape into space. They realize, however, that their main drive is leaking deadly radiation and are forced to abandon ship. The ship is left to drift in a 200-year elliptical orbit around a dwarf star. (SGA: "Travelers")

-- The Ancients begin hiding ZPMs throughout the galaxy, including Dagan, where the Sudarian worship the Ancients. A brotherhood of fifteen monks (the "Quindosim") is formed, whose sole purpose is to protect the sacred artifact, hoping that the Lantians would return and reward the Sudarian people for completing their task. (SGA: "The Brotherhood")

-- The Ancient warship Aurora is crippled far from Atlantis. The crew place themselves into stasis chambers for the long trip back to Lantea. (SGA: "Aurora")

-- Lantea:
--- The Lantean/Wraith War escalates. Atlantis is constantly under siege, forcing them to abandon their geothermal energy harvesting station. The Lanteans decide to leave Atlantis for Earth through the stargate. Atlantis, protected by a force-shield, is sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

--- Doctor Elizabeth Weir from an alternate future is rescued from the Lantean ocean after traveling back in time in a modified Puddle Jumper. She befriends Janus, who programs Atlantis to rise if the shields fail, blocks all but the Earth gate from making contact with Atlantis, and makes alterations so that, instead of using the multiple remaining ZPMs in parallel, the city uses the remaining ZPMs sequentially. Weir is put into cryogenic sleep, programmed to be awoken when an active ZPM becomes drained so she can exchange them. (SGA: "Before I Sleep")

- Milky Way:
-- Earth:
--- The Ancients arriving from Atlantis find Earth's people quite primitive, preventing them from rebuilding their great civilization. They live out the rest of their lives among the primitive Humans. They go on to influence the language and mythology of Ancient Rome and Greece. Their research on ascension forms the basis of Buddhism.

-- Many Ancients continue using the stargate network, forming an Alliance of Four Great Races with the Nox, Asgard, and Furlings, which would last for centuries. (SG1: "The Torment of Tantalus", "The Fifth Race")

9998 BC
-- Arnessk
--- The activation of the Darnaz Triangle forces the Eidelon priests into stasis for the next 12,000 cycles. During which, the remaining Eidelons lose their ability to influence peace. As a result, the Peacekeepers become more militant. (FS: "What Was Lost, Parts 1 & 2", PKW)

-- With their resources running low, the System Lords launch a daring attack against the Asgard and Furlings. The Goa'uld strike with surprise and land a crushing blow. In the years that followed, the Asgard and Furlings fight back with vengeance. The Asgard deal the parasites several major setbacks, but do not press the attack, not fully realizing the danger the Goa'uld pose to their galaxy and others.

-- Earth:
--- Fleeing Asgard pursuers, a badly injured Ra arrives in the Sol System. On the third planet, he finds a large, primitive population that bow to his divinity and suitable for blending. He takes an Egyptian boy as host and becomes infused with new vigor and life. Ra determines that Humans provide a near ideal host for the Goa'uld. Using the stargate he brought with him, Ra claims the world of Tau'ri as his own. (SG)

--- Humans are taken from Earth to many other planets as slaves and hosts to the Goa'uld.

--- The Goa'uld use the Tau'ri as a template to create the Jaffa to serve as incubators of the larva. To insure their loyalty, the parasites serves as the Jaffa's immune system, without which, the Jaffa would die. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")

-- Telchak perfects the sarcophagus for use on Humans. The results are more effective, providing near immortality to the System Lords. The negative side effects are lessened, making repeat use benign to the symbiote. Even the dead can be brought back to life. Telchak hides the original Ancient device on Earth, but keeps his notes in the Book of Thoth.

-- Earth:
--- Setesh, Osiris, and Isis unsuccessfully attempt to assassinate Ra. Ra strips them of their status as System Lords and condemns them to an eternity of suffering. Both are forcibly removed from their hosts and placed in canopic jars. Setesh, however, goes into hiding. (SG1: "The Curse").
