Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

That has to be one of the more unusual things I've ever read. :)
Pretty good.

What I'd like to see is a numbers crunch of how many security officers on the Enterprise-D get taken down by escaped prisoners, powerful aliens, escaped crewmembers taken over by powerful aliens, etc. I'd bet it's even more than redshirts!

To improve red shirt survivability "...visit peaceful, female only planets..."

Well, DUH! What guy wouldn't want to do that?

That lowly redshirt security ensign
gets a series of three novels...
by Kevin Ryan.

Errand of Vengeance:
Edge of the Sword, Killing Blow, and River of Blood.

Lovely plot twist.

Series of novels continues with Errand of Fury.

Wow, this guy has a LOT of time on his hands. But still pretty cool.

Interesting... in the 7 months since submitting this, I've forgotten it existed. Quite entertaining for a second time!

So all Redshirts should be assigned to Risa until further notice.

I wonder if that is the reason for the color switch between TOS and TNG....they figured putting security in gold would increase their survivability.

Wasn't the first dude in TNG killed wearing a red shirt? The guy Q froze? (Or did he not die?)

Good catch, Bryan. I guess they saw that and thought, "Dammit! Nothings changed. Let's start putting our unnamed crew in gold now... maybe that'll help."

God, I always saw myself either in red or gold, but I guess the only way to kick up your survivability likelyhood is to wear the blues. (But I don't want to be a doctor or scientist) Oh no, whatever shall I do!?
