Even if it was remastered, it would only be a slight polishing, and fixing a few nits (various phaser beams coming from odd places, and maybe the monster BoPs in "The Defector"). TOS-R is completely replacing all the old VFX.

Exactly. There would have to be a huge advancement in FX - one which isn't currently available - to make such an effort worthwhile.

A couple of scenes I'd like to see redone, would be Lt Commander Remmicks head exploding, and I'd like to see Wes get decapitated in Yesterdays Enterprise as was allegedly planned.

Meh. He'd just walk over, pick up his head, and technobabble some way of reattaching it.

Exactly in 25 years I mighty understand but its only 20 years old yet and most of it is still very much watchable until you go back to the beginning...

There is quite a lot of stuff to do in the first few seasons, after that it is just fixing nits.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
