I think the heat could be remedied by heat radiating equipment, like venting it out of the hull if necessary. The main problem is the Nacelles. if we increased armour on the nacelles and the struts, it could compensate for the ease of targetting them.

There is only so much you can armour the nacelles, there is always gonna be open blue bits.

True, but with the medium distance it makes it challenging to keep them tucked to the hull. the one i put forward is still relatively close to the hull, i think without compromising the warp field.

I know its too late to put in a vote but I like the 4 medium. A battlehship doesnt' have to be fast but it does have to be able to take a beating and then just shrugg it off and keep going. Lossing one or two WNs would cripple most ships and our Battleships can laugh it off. That would be very helpful.

As to the lance being external or internal, I tried that with Teaos. He's only taking it if its internal.
