Sisko
Sisko
I had a "discussion" recently about Sisko.
My friend liked him better as a Commander, with hair and clean shaven, and felt he was a "better" character when he was just another average officer with massive responsability thrust on his shoulders.
I felt that he improved once he made Captain, shaved his head and grew his beard. He looked "tougher" like somebody that you could trust to stop an invasion, and win a war. He seemed to become darker and more ruthless as well.
What are your thoughts?

I liked him latter on. He seemed to have made peace with the past and moved on to become a good commander.

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: Sisko
That's why I liked the "captain" character - it was a nice departure from typical Starfleet paragon-ism into a more pragmatic, ruthless idea... but Sisko still punished himself for the consequences of his actions.Mark wrote:He looked "tougher" like somebody that you could trust to stop an invasion, and win a war. Captain Sisko. He would compromise his own personal ethics for the good of the Federation, but never sacrifices the Federation for it's own good.

Captain Sisko. A lot more badass and willing to take it to the enemy.

Re: Sisko
I strongly dislike how he is the emissary, maybe someone hates him because of that.

I felt Captain Sisko was somewhat better.

Meh, I prefered him better as Hawk in the Spencer movies.

Haven't seen those in years
I liked him as the Captain, he looked much more badass with a bald head and a beard.

Re: Sisko
That would be me. As Commander Sisko he's a burned out waste of material who has no business being in the Fleet and as Captain Sisko he's a goosestepping warcriminal. And as both he's a religious figure to a planet of fundies.Bryan Moore wrote:Who voted "Hate Both"? I'd like to hear why.

Re: Sisko
I prefered him as Captain. by this point he'd stopped groaning to himself about getting the station as his command and actually got on with it. plus his war performance was good in my view.
