Its an interesting ship. A kind of classic sci-fi design but still nice.

I like the fact that it represents that Earth can now defend its self and not rely on others.

OMG! IT LOOKS LIKE A SEX TOY!

Ok, now that it's out of my system: I think it's a pretty interesting vessel. Though it's development in the universe is so fast that it stretchs SOD quite thin.

It looks like the ship from the old movie The Black Hole with Maximillian Schell.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers that one. She was the Cygnus IIRC.

Not a bad ship, the development came with the help of the Asgard so that would speed things up a great deal. I don't like the open top bridge though. A classic mistake in scifi which makes me love the NBSG all the more.

When I first saw it in SGA's "The Siege, Part 3", I thought it looked a little weird. I preferred the Prometheus design. But, after a while this design grew on me.

Actually, the Daedalus has two bridges: One on the superstructure and one at the beginning of the neck.
1st Bridge
2nd Bridge

Today, i did a count of the number of railguns, missile tubes, and asgard plasma beam emitters.

Armament
-32 Railguns
-22 Missile Tubes (16 Dorsal, 6 Ventral)
-5 Asgard Plasma Beam Emitters
-Horizon (Apollo only)
