Mirror Voyager

I was thinking... One of the episode in ST: VOY or StarTrek Voyager had shown Janeway famous for her job. Then it showed the doctor in 700 years... Maybe that voyager is like the mirror version? It looked really powerful and the crew's size was expended twice. I think it would be suitable for the title of Mirror Voyager

You may be thinking about two different episodes. If I am remembering correctly (quite possibly not), the "mirror Voyager" in 700 years time was the social exaggeration of the race that kept the Doctor (in a museum, no less). As their contact with Voyager was less than pleasant, it made sense that over time the ship's importance was inflated (as was it's capabilities!)

But come to think of it, I like your idea. A mirror-Voyager episode would have been fun!

Mirror Voyager was simply cool because it had some teeth. "Voyager had a complement of 300 soldiers and that Voyager's torpedoes had a 25-isoton yield; Voyager had triple-armored hull, 30 torpedo tubes, 25 phaser banks" - Credit Star Trek Voyager Encyclopedia.

"The warship Voyager - one of the most powerful vessels of its time. Armed with photonic torpedoes and particle weapons, this ship of destruction could wipe out an entire civilization within hours." - From Ex-astris-scientia.

I wouldn't have minded setting more of this Voyager myself, the Kazon would not have given them so much trouble along the way...along with several other species.

ok I'm a bit too lazy at the moment to search what episode the 700-years-in-the-future thing was. I don't think I ever saw it, and seeing as my mom and I are collecting the DVD sets, I'd like to pop it in the player (if we have that season yet).

(and yes, at 22, I remain young enough to shamelessly still be living with my parents, if only for 4 months at a time...)

EDIT: sorry the point of this was to ask what the episode's called, and if possible which season and disc it's on. So what's the episode called, and what season and disc is it on? Thanks

It is called "Living Witness", and is very highly rated by this site, by the way.
Look in Season 4, DVD 4.6.

Good Luck!

Hmm, a mirror Voyager?

Let me see. Voyager and its crew would probably not bother with trying to get home, I can see Janeway carving out her own empire in the Delta quadrant. The Kazon are inferior to Voyager so I would think she would start there, she might later begin recruiting kazon forces to act as a military. The empire would expand, slowly at first but with increasing speed until it encountered a more powerfull race or the borg.

Could be an interesting episode, I always liked the mirror universe episodes and Voyager was the only one that didn't have one.

If what I've been reading, I've seen several sites rate it as one of the top 10 Voyager episodes, and it was directed by Voyages resident Vulcan none other then Tim Russ.

heh although following the MU concept, my guess is that the Borg are a benevolent society who are willing to teach and assist individuals and societies with technological and diplomatic difficulty. Perhaps though that they have as a cardinal rule one of non-interference, but exercise their benevolence when asked. And they'd probably have a different logo-maybe something in blue and white...

@ Handel

Ha, you have a point. I can see it now.

"We are the borg, resistance is optional. We would like to add your biological distintiveness to our own, if you don't mind." :D

Makes me wonder what Q would be like...

Rochey, good thoughts on what the Voyager Mirror Universe!

However, it would be hard to see it happening in the continuty as there IS no Federation in the Mirror Universe at the time it happens.

Let me try to think my way out of this one and flesh out what I think it would be like:

the Resistance stole the plans for the Intrepid class along with the Defiant. Voyager is employed as a warship using the advantages of stolen sensor/computer technology to get the drop on the Alliance. At some point, they and their escort (Maquis raider) are thrown into the Delta Quadrant, where they take on Neelix, appealing to his darker, materialistic instincts. They abduct Kes and use the array to raze the Ocampa for being "unhelpful". before it is destroyed by the Kazon.

Without the Array to get home or as a base of operations, they start to make their way home to re-join the fight. They raid Kazon planets along the way, and more or less act like Terrans do when they are in charge of things...

They have no hesitation to taking what they need from anyone they encounter.

The Borg are more or less the same, as they are more like a "natural disaster, or force of nature" than a race per se. But the other races would be mostly peaceful or benevolent, with Voyager stirring up trouble.

Any more thoughts?

That would be a problem all right.
snip ideas.
Good ides there, the idea of Voyager's plans being stolen would help it fit in and with its speed (I think I remember someone saying it was the fastest ship in Starfleet) it would be put to good use as a raiding vessel.

Good point on the borg, what they do seems to be their nature.

It sure fits the description of some kind of Mirror Universe ship.
