Great, that puts us at a par with those going for "balanced". Now if one of them jumps to our camp, we can win.

Sorry but the whole "Balanced" thing just doesn't' work for a battleship. If you want a balance ship the buy a Sov.

As long as I can get a decent insurance rate, sure.

Seriously, I'm thinking that the All-Rounder is cool, as long as it leaves room for torpedoes. Lots of torpedoes.

How much space would four rapid-fire QT launchers take, I wonder?

I would say maybe 4%, just over half of the lance, plus maybe 1% for every 200 warheads.

Just a guess.

That sounds reasonable.

When Teaos puts up stats on the torpedoes, I may change my vote to the all-rounder as long as we still have room for a heavy torpedo armament, and other essentials.

I'd say 3 rapid fire QTLs. Two on the bow, one on the stern. 12% volume take up.
1800 QTLs for our payload. 600 aft, 1200 for, that's another 9% volume take up.
Total being 21% volume take up.

If you want to save some space then

I'd say 2 rapid fire QTLs. One forward, one aft. 8% volume.
Then take 1200 QTs. 600 for each QTL adding 6% volume.
Total being 14% volume take up.

I like the first option better as they would work well with the Lance, very well.
Anything big the lance takes out and anything to small for the lance the QTs take out.
It's a match made in heaven. It also makes the balanced and slash builds look like miranda.
