Still a democracy here, Deep.

Deep?

Ah, crap, he's laughing maniacally again. I think he's... Yeah, he's trying to take over the voting for the weapons.

*sigh*

Anybody needs me, I'll be on the holodeck...

Who said anything about "trying". Is there anybody here better with weapons setup then me? I didn't think so either

So, you guys tell me what you what this bird to be able to do and I'll set up a few different weapon loadouts for you guys to pick from.

Pick one of the below to give me a start point and I'll work out options until we get were we want it to be.

Dreadnought = Negh'var in mind only better, this ship will be loaded with heavy weapons. Type XII phasers for 360* fire arc supported by pulse fire QTLs and topped off by a pair of Phaser Lances on the bow. This type of weapons set would make a ship at home both defending a system where the attackers would lose dozens of ships trying to take it down. As well as on the attack for taking out stations, shipyards and planets. In terms of siege she is unmatched. Her lances giving her the ability to take down enemy positions with ease. Sure, there are some big birds out there but this is the ship to make their crews need a new set of pants.

Flag Battleship = Think NBSG without the fighters, a strong mix of heavy and medium weapons. Type XII's being the new standard will still be in use here along with the 360* fire arc only in greater numbers with each having reserve power supplies. However, the QTLs will be removed in favor of pulse fire PTLs. PTLs on all four flanks much like the Akira for 2/3rds coverage. No phaser lances. Instead leaving more power for the shields and engines. The primary purpose of this ship would be to command fleets in battle and support the front line. Not being a lone hunter like a Dreadnought I've removed the heavier weapons and given her a payload built around suppression fire. This ship would lead the battle into the heart of the enemy line and tear away at it from the inside out.

Tactical Battleship = Think AGT-ED only bigger. Type XII's in the standard 360 fire arc but with a twist, double coverage! Phaser arcs overlap allowing more then one phaser to target the same enemy. Dual pulse fire PTLs on each flank, and rapid fire PTL to the aft and a pair of rapid fire on the bow, plus! A rapid fire QTL also facing forward. This ship is built as a lone hunter. Many times in war you need a hard hitting ship that fight up close and at long range. Its rare to find borders guarded by heavy warships, this ship will slide though any patrol with ease and often before the enemy is even in range to fire back. The heavy missile load means you can target and destroy an entire squadron of escorts in seconds with PTs and the RFQTLs give you something useful against heavier targets. The new phaser arc means that any enemy that gets close would now face a constant beating. The ship is set to engage both its goal target and secondary targets at the same time without taxing the ships power by too much of a degree. This leaves more power for the shields since phasers will be engaging targets already weakened by the wall of PTs and QTs that this ship can lay out before either side is in range of energy weapons.

If you need more options let me know.

Patience Deep - you can post your ideas and reasoning once we get a weapons poll up.

Indeed, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The poll runs for one more day but once it has finished I'll put up the next poll. Although this one seems to be decided.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Vibrating? Good for toys - in people, it can often indicate a seizure.

It wasn't okay when Neelix did that to Tuvok, why do people think it's okay to do with me?
