Does anyone else remember the movie Dark Star???
I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens to me.

It's about a ship and crew whose job is to scout for planets suitable for colonization and destroy the ones they find unstable. But, one of the thinking and talking bombs gets stuck in the bay and threatens to destroy the ship.

Made by John Carpenter in 1971.

I have it on DVD too. Silly, but does have touching moments too :)

In fact I feel the need to rewatch it now.

Indeed, but the relationship between Doolittle and Talby is touching, the way Talby can't open up to anyone aboard other then Talby.

And hilarious as it is, I still think Pinbacks log entry towards the end of the film where he admits he's not really Pinback is rather sad.
