New MacGyver movie planned

Post by kostmayer »

To the uninitiated, it was an 80's tv show starring Richard Dean Anderson - aka Colonel O'Neill. Play a government scientist whose skills at making ingenius devices out of household objects would put the A Team to shame.

No word on who will play the great mulleted one yet. My vote goes to Colin Farrell. Give him the same haircut as he had in Miami Vice, sans mustache and voila!

So, what will he use to save the world this time?

My bet is that he'll take down North Korea's space laser with a paperclip, some string, a sheet of A4 paper, some chewing gum, and a pair of tweezers.

I grew up watching the reruns, and honestly loved it. Whoever they get, I hope they do a good job.

Why not use the same star? He's not too old yet.

RDA should come back. His Simpsons guest appearance was awesome, so he seems to have a sense of humor about MacGyver.

If not McGyver, RDA should at least come back and play Pete Thornton.

Am I really the only person alive who wants to see Colin Farrell back in a mullet?

I'm just not a fan of Colin Farrell, that's all.

Not sure I am either, he's just strangely watchable.

Rather like Airforce One, which is a terrible terrible film but I always watch when it's on TV. Like it is now. Dammit.

Whoa, whoa. Rochey, some A4 paper? Overkill for Mac, much? ;)

Seriously, I love this show. :D And a new movie for it would rock too.

My vote is Richard Dean Anderson again!
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

One of the main reasons why I enjoy the show is because of Richard Dean Anderson. It's hard to imagine anyone else doing his roles.

Well, I was assuming that at one point he'd be captured and held in a top-secret military base underwater. A4 paper is quite useful for those situations, you know.
