And who will play the young Sybok? Larry Luckenbill was so great in the film!

Safe bet T'Pring already has some full Vulcan secret crush on Stonn, that Sybok uncovers and pushes into Amok Time 2.0!

This is the best of these new series so far. You get individual stories and actually get to know the full main crew members at least some. They are actually making good jokes. Unlike discovery and Picard at least so far the galaxy isn’t going to end during each season. The one thing I hate is instant ability to cross the galaxy. It isn’t Trek technology it is copying Star Wars and it is dumb. But mostly good stories

Penultimate episode: roller coaster of emotions...flashbacks of a classic non-trek scifi film...characters moving on...more of the big bad of season 1

Glad to see it has been renewed for a second season!,

I guess this is why last week's episode ended the way it did. Can't have two episodes straight of loss.

Episode 10, season finale: normally I'm not a fan of the "shot for shot line for line' approach of story telling, however it worked well in this instance.

No spoilers, just praise for a wonderful experience watching season 1, and really looking forward to season 2 and beyond!

This is my Star Trek. Anyone on the fence about this show, jump in. It's great. They do the exploring, the seeking out new life, the human drama. Best of the New Trek! For me this is number 1, Lowers Decks is number 2, Prodigy is number 3, and the rest can kiss my ass.

Finally finished the season.

Loved the finale. Like a nice contrast of Pike and Kirk and whose style works better in certain circumstances. Though this version of Kirk needs work. He lacks any sort of charm Kirk has.

I also like more TOS-esque ships we are getting instead of the blocky Discovery 22nd century ones. Like we saw a Saladin class version and some pre-Miranda USS Farragut.

This is a Kirk who has never been friends with Spock, nor Bones. He shouldn't be the same one we've seen. Philosophically the same, psychologically not. I imagine Kirk would have developed his charm skills having to mediate between those two.

I had to laugh at seeing the exec. producers (Henry Meyers) pitch for SNW...."what if we just did Star Trek?"
