Just looking through my movie collection and coming across some great movies. Some of which likely haven't been a hit for other people but I love. Others hopefully you'll agree with:
As Good as it Gets
Australia - OK, it's two good movies crammed into one but I like it.
Avatar - OK it's a disney rip of but who cares.
Bicentennial Man - Wow. Did he live long enough to see his wish come to be?
Bound - OK, lesbians, but damned cleaver also.
The Breakfast Club - OMG, if your too young to know this movie you must watch it. If you know it watch it again.
Broken Arrow - OK John Travolta is cheasy as hell in it but it just kinda works.
Death at a Funeral - No, not the american remake, watch the original.
The Green Mile - Gentle giant
Lake Placid - Low budget but perfectly pitched between comedy and action.
A Life Less Ordinary - Unlikely couple, with an even more unlikely way of getting together.
Moulin Rouge - Love this modern musical, sad story.
Much Ado about Nothing - Kenneth Branagh version, It's just cheery and fun from start to finish.
The Mummy - Brendan Fraser version. Watch the trailer, the movie is just like that.
My Best Friends Wedding - Love it, but I can't explain why. It's certainly not the karaoke bit.
The Remains of the Day - More because it's a lesson in acting from both main leads than anything else.
The Rock - OK a bit cheesy but great.
The Shawshank Redemption - Say no more.
Titanic - Even though you know the end...
The Tourist - Hated by many, I loved it.
True Lies - Best bond ripoff ever.
Twelve Angry Men - Love the twist
Twister - Again one of those films that fun from the get to.
Uncle Buck - Like buck himself, who could fail to like it
Weekend at Bernie's - OK, crude but they get away with it
