Ah, gotcha. This is way convoluted but, maybe he's doing all this just to get those Pykes and destroy them for killing his tribe? I don't know. I know in the former canon, Boba was rebuilding the Mandalorians clans a decade and a half after ROTJ, but I don't remember if he ever become a crime lord.
No, he didn't. And that's a good theory about the Pykes. The execution of it, along with the show... I've heard people say this should've been called, 'Tales of Tatooine' or something like that, and yeah. That would've been far better!

I thought that Raider was invincible. She had the most spectacular action scene in the tv shows. Smashing a speeder into a train car, jumping onto said train car, kicking the bad's guys' asses, so the rest of the tribe could move forward. She single-handedly turned the tide of the battle. Why get rid of her?! Make her like, the Lone Raider or something.
Yeah. She was so fucking awesome. I actually liked that kid Tusken, too. Killing them off was just... ugh! The best parts of the show with Boba was with him and the tribe!

Tales of Tatooine that pays off in a Boba Fett wiping out the Pykes who killed his tribe? Nice! Imagine we get an episode of that casino run by Jennifer Beals, an episode of the teens, an episode of the Mayor because I love that Mayor's Aide guy, an episode of the other crime lords going through their own problems in the wake of Jabba's fall. So after we spend time getting to know the casino characters, show that they are kind of like us, only to watch them all blow up in that last episode. It would have had an impact as the bad guys destroyed a thriving community that was familiar to us. Some of the teens get taken out too. The Aide is killed off-screen. Then the penultimate episode shows us a flashback of the tribe being found dead, and Boba doing some detective work tracking down and taking out those bikers, only to discover it was the Pykes all along, leading into this final episode showdown.

I like what you said about Tales of Tatooine. Tatooine might as well be a character in this universe. The most visited planet in the saga. It was even in the Knights of the Old Republic video game! A game set 4,000 years previously had Tatooine as a featured world. I imagine with the upcoming Obi-Wan series, we'll be returning to Tatooine.

Write this down, nutso! I'll have my people call your people. We'll do lunch, hash out a script. No, seriously. That right there would've been far better than what we've gotten so far.

Yeah. We got two episodes of The Mandalorian in a show called "Book of Boba Fett." They could have shown us more of post-Hutt Tatooine if they ran out of things for Boba to do.

Episode 7: lots of what you would expect from a classic western stand-off...plus some fantastic unexpected moments!

Agreed that the episodes featuring Mando were much better in plot, direction, etc. And the best Boba episodes were the building of his Tuskan relationships, which does have a certain gravitas in this final episode.

Enjoyed the series as a whole and can see where other characters could spin off even further (mid-credits scene points to one).

So I saw the finale. And... eh? The action just left me bored overall. I didn't really care about most of the characters, so it was just blah blah blah, shoot shoot shoot.
