TOS and the early parts of TNG were the hardest to watch. We all know about the early parts of TNG.

But IMO, it's hard for me watching TOS due to a lot of factors. Some episodes are not even watchable. You got mixed great with some truly bad ones. Then you got what amounts to a new skill. Making TV shows. The average actor or director just doesn't seem as polished as it can be. Camera angles or setups seem to be odd. It's just noticeable to me.

I actually love TOS more than almost any other Trek, and don't find it hard to watch at all.

And don't spread it around, but I rather like TNG season 1 and 2, as well.

“Errand of mercy” cracks me up.
The usage of personal pronouns is hilarious! Shoot the Klingon ship: Spock: “we got him captain!”, “direct hit, he is hurt”. Sulu: “nothing but debris field, we got him good sir”. Lol. Different times and different ways of describing the enemy.

The Royal is OK, it’s meant to be bad. The worst is surely “Shades of grey”. A classic clip show.

I too grew up on TOS and love it. Early TNG only really suffers from attempting to reuse existing episodes, such as “The naked now”. They soon grew out of that.

It’s also worth pointing out that, on our scoring, season 7 had 5 episodes that scored 0 and season 1 only 2. Season 2 had 4. So season 7 had only one less 0 than season 1 & 2 combined.

I've always like the Royale. I never really got the intense hatred it gets from some corners. I mean just that the aliens meant well and the ancient astronaut acknowledges that is pretty cool. I also love that it's acknowledged in-universe how cliched the book is. :D

I can't say I like it or don't like it. For me it was one of those episodes you kinda just listen to and not really watch while doing something else.

Oh come on.. spocks Brain is a classic! I remember it (watching it on TV when I was younger) even after all these years.

Lol, that’s gonna be like drunken Deja vu. First couple seasons will be like a recent memory of something you’ve seen... just not the same people or scenery?

I prefer to skip ST: movie Generations.
It was just so uninteresting to me. If I’m bingeing then sure, but as far as TOS movies, it’s not a favorite.
