Actually that's not too far from the truth! You show up without your instrument (but with your uniform .. Which actually surprises me a little), either the Director has to march a hole -- which is not Diane if it's a competition or big show day -- OR you're putting in your uniform and marching the show with the band and you will never forget your instrument again.
