1921 Day 1 Antonia

"Form up, speed is more of the essence than stealth."

As the group forms up away from the pod Antonia turns back and touches her wrist cogitator. There's a muffled *Crump* and the pod starts to heat up rapidly. In seconds the hidden melta charges have reduced the pod to a puddle of molten metal.

Cyrus giggled. "Be sure to keep up then. I'll take point!"

1921 - 1929 Day 1

The group moves quickly through the forest. The ground is reasonably flat and Antonia's armor lets her keep pace with the marines. They quickly arrive at the river. It's fast flowing and churning, a raging torrent coming down from the mountain, across the plateau and off to a waterfall to the valley two kilometers away. To the south you can see an ork bridge, or what passes for one with the greenskins.

1929 Day 1

"Orks approach," Khan suddenly announced. He could feel them in his mind, creatures alien, violent, and stupid. "From the south west, across the river."

"We need to move to ambush them as they complete the crossing! Khan, can we make it?"

"Ninety meters," Khan answered slowly as he focused on making full sense of what he was feeling. "A dozen at least, perhaps more, moving at a brisk walk..."

1929 Mithras

"Let them get half way across, gun them down while they're stuck on the bridge," Mithras offered up as he moved towards a large rock on the shore. He kneeled down beside it and aimed for the bridge.

1929 Antonia

Antonia readied her pistol. "I defer to the expertise of the Astartes."

Cyrus took up a place behind a rather thick tree. Kneeling and bracing himself against it. He aimed carefully down his sights.

"Just don't break the damn bridge." Hati warned them, halting and readying his sniper rifle as he took position next to a tree. "For all we know it's the only crossing point for miles around."

1930 Day 1

As the group reacted to Khan's warning a group of Boyz led by a Nob emerged from the dense brush on the west side of the river. With a beastial bellow the Nob pointed across the bridge, urging the Boyz across.

Cyrus, seeing his targets, smiled within his helm. "I think this calls for Big Baby!" Sliding his hand down to his pistol holster, he unhooked his grenade launcher. Carefully aiming at his picked target, an Ork in the center of the bunch. A quick pull of the trigger followed by a muffled thump sound signaled the round on its way. For a moment, Cyrus believed he had missed. Though, to his delight the round fell straight into the left arm of his target. He couldn't hear anything from the distance. However his eyes caught the sight of the grenade bounce up off of his victim and then explode in the air. Shrapnel burst like a blooming flower. "By the Emperor! It's beautiful!"
