Okay so we more or less agree. Then why the argument? I think you just like to yell at your computer screen.Deepcrush wrote:They don't need it, but it sure helps.Monroe wrote:Can we agree that games need plot? Or do you disagree with that?

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

No, you were acting stupid and I was online. Did you really expect any other response?

Re: Left 4 Dead
Sounds fun to me. Half-Life 2 Episode One was pretty much that scenario for the first half.
Not like I minded hanging out with Alyx shooting a bunch of zombies.

I don't understand how you get that from anything that was said here.Monroe wrote:I don't understand people who think games don't deserve plots.

Because you took offense to what I said earlier. If you agree that games deserve plots then the original comment relating GCI Porn to Idiocracy wasn't about you.Tyyr wrote:I don't understand how you get that from anything that was said here.Monroe wrote:I don't understand people who think games don't deserve plots.

He can't drop it, if he didn't then he wouldn't be our DITL Fool anymore. And without the chakat, who would we turn too?

Look, I know I've bashed with you on a number of things in the past. But even I wouldn't put you in the same rank as the furball.Tyyr wrote:Since I've apparently been designated the resident furry then me most likely.

Re: Left 4 Dead
You have to make Deep look like a moron a certain amount of times. Maybe get him to post in a dozen threads crying about how you're ignoring him. Or have him argue for something that's as easy to disprove as linking a video on hulu. But sure Tyyr, no harm was ever intended and I'm sorry if you took it that way. I probably could have used more general terms so you didn't think I was insulting you. I guess I should have gone after the makers of some of those games and movies.Tyyr wrote:Since I've apparently been designated the resident furry then me most likely.

Re: Left 4 Dead
So, at the risk of getting back on topic...sniper, assault rifle, shotgun? What's your zombie killing preference?
I'll take the shotties any time. Reloading is a bitch, but when it comes to clearing out a horde, you can't go wrong. And the auto-shotty, full unload and close range will rape the witch.

Re: Left 4 Dead
I read an article a long time ago on how to convert a shotgun (with the standard tube mag) to take a box mag. It didn't extend the ammo capacity much, ten rounds IIRC but it cut down on reloading times.

Re: Left 4 Dead
There are a few mag fed semi and full auto shotties out there. Mostly Russian I think.
Anyways, in L4D I prefer the assault rifle. At the ranges you can see a target to shoot at it the M16 is every bit as accurate as the sniper rifle while being full auto with 50 rounds to boot.
