For people that like jazz, here's the jazz/metal fusion band Cynic:

The Space For This

Evolutionary Sleeper

Integral Birth

The Unknown Guest

I think it's great, personally. Very cool idea.

I spotted this on Reliant's MySpace page, thought it was great:

No, he is not realted to another Jackson. Especially his vocal compositions are very pleasing to the ear.

I'm not a huge fan of "radio bands", but Shinedown has surprised me fairly often.

The new single, Sound of Madness is pretty kick-ass; it's the sort of thing I've been expecting from Metallica for the last ten years (which they haven't delivered).

The rest of it is similarly good.

Examples:

.45

Save Me

Burning Bright

They were on Letterman before Jeopardy; I looked them up, and I'm liking it a lot.

Necro but I love this song, I listen to it most mornings on the way to school since it is about the right length for my bike ride if I push myself.
The Highwayman The video is slightly out time to the music but you get the idea.

I love Loreena McKennit. Her voice is so haunting and evocative.

Huey Lewis and the News has always been my favorite band. One of the more underrated, IMHO.

Yes, it's 'Hip to be Square'

And then Buffy staked Edward. The End.
