wow, I must say I'm liking that design, never really watched the orrigional, so I don't have anything to base it on, but as a scratch design it's not bad.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

It borrows a fair bit from the TMP refit with hints of the TOS model, it's not bad looking at all. I would have preferred the ramscoops to have stayed chrome but that is a minor quibble.

Is it just me, or do the forward parts of the nacelles look very bulky?

The nacelles look a little... bloated. Other than that, its not too bad. I'm starting to not worry as much as I was before.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

I've heard that the movie is going to debut in France and some other countries on 6 May, so from that point I'm going to be in spoiler siege mode.
