Wow... This thread has certainly gone off topic. It's like...in a completely different Universe now.

On the original topic... I was wondering about this, too. I'm guessing it was adopted by a crewmember.

And, this reply will probably be just as noticeable as a whisper next to a rocket engine blast.

Interstingly enough, Kazons were meant as comments on gangs in LA when Voyager started. i suppose those gangs were indeed a bunch of boneheads, as they are depicted accordingly as well.

Literal quotation: "The Kazon, who where to be based on L.A. gangs, were just a bunch of petulant children who had cool ships, but were always infighting to find out which sect would rule."

Wait, you mean Voyager tried to go back to the original concept of Trek?!

Actually yes. They intended it to be a little more TNG-like than DS9 with more one-episode stories than the arcs of DS9. It was supposed to get back to the exploration theme. You know, "we're stranded 70,000 lightyears from home but we might as well take a look around on our way back"
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Yeah, I guess the thought of harvesting ice from an outlying planet if nothing else didn't occur to them.

I guess space gangstas would be more concerned about where they money, hoes, and juice is coming from. They aint got time for no water, unless it's the kind they dip they sweets in.

*ahem*

I mean, they were morons.
