Yes, but that may only speed up the process. Could you imagine the fiasco if the planet seemed stable long enough for a large colony to be set up and then it exploded?
The way the planet was developing, the rate of change, even without the geological instability would make it unsuitable as a colony.

That particular planet I would say was, I mean they could refine it but personally I think it was an idea that just couldn't work.

I believe since it used that unstable particle it was pretty much a total loss and only good for a weapns which would piss everyone off.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Turn the Borg cube into a small planet that then crashes into Earth...

Haha brilliant. But imagine the tourist site of having a planet at Wolf 359.

You could just keep hitting it with a new torpedo reseting it.

You know the problem is that someone will forget to get everyone off the planet first one day and then the lawsuits will be hell to pay....

Naa....just post a marker buey that continually transmits the message "We will not be held liable for ANY organic materiel absorbed by the planet while it reforms it's matrix."

That should solve everything
