Ah. Okay then. Well, I guess I can't argue with his intentions, though I can disagree with his message. In this "Expanded Universe," as an aside, has he compared the themes of Starship Troopers with those of Stranger in a Strange Land?

I read this when I was nine, and other Heinlein works like Number of the Beast (one of my favorite books of all time), but I never read Starship Troopers. I have no idea why. Time for a foray to the library...Mikey wrote:...Stranger in a Strange Land?[/i]

Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Dusk, take my advice and forget you heard anything about the second one. It's horrible.
From what I remember of the movie (only saw it once), there are about a dozen soldiers running away from a large swarm of Bugs running straight at them. They hide in some sort of large building with a landing pad on top, and turn on this electric fence thing that surrounds the biulding, keeping the bugs out.
They then discover this new type of bug which burrows into your head and takes control of your brain. It takes over one of them, and then starts killing/taking over the rest of them. At the end, I think one of them survives when a ship comes to rescue them.
Yeah, it sucks that bad.
For the third film, I'll be cheering for the Bugs.
