Any episode where Troi or Crusher falls in love. Ugh.

I'll second this.

Mithrandir - good to see you again.
However, we've just had issues with thread necros; so in the interest of fairness, I'm asking you not to necro threads 5 months old - the rest of us who haven't read it in that time don't have a frame of reference for the conversation. We'd rather see a new thread opened, with a link if necessary to the old thread. Thanks.

Deanna stuck in command + Picard stuck in the turbolift with kids = Disaster

both as in "Episode Title" and "Resulting Episode"

As for my personnal worst, I think I'll go with.. hmm... Season 1.

Oh, right. It's a toss between Datalore, The Last Outpost or Code of Honor.

Does it really matter about a necro if he didn't do anything other then state a direct opinion under the OP?

I'll happily give this an amen.

Probably not; but the reasoning for not wanting it to happen is the same as the last time; and we could hardly call one person on it and not another.

You guys bend rules here all the time. Getting upset over a reasonable necro shouldn't be on the list you guys worry about.

I'll take it under advisement.

Hmm...I did not see that (one reason being that - because of my absence - all topics flashed brightly red, announcing new comments in them). And I honestly don't think, that a strictly on topic-comment would confuse the wits out of you... Should I really have opened a new thread called: "Really the most hated episodes of all time" and posted my nominee there? That seems a lot more confusing to me!

In this exact case, it probably really was okay to just necro the thread, this one was pretty self explanatory. But we just had an issue with someone blatantly ignoring that rule multiple times, among other violations, and it ended leading to a temp ban. So I'd say right now we're just a little more restrictive than normal just for the sake of "fairness".

Course I'm no mod, so take this as pure speculation.

Like I said, I mention it strictly in the spirit of fairness - yes, it was easy enough to figure out; but I couldn't really feel comfortable telling one person something, and then a different person something else about the very same situation.

For clarity....necroing not technically a rules violation, but falls within bad form.

For example...if I necro'd the TR-116 thread, almost everyone concerned would have to go and reread multiple pages to figure out what the hell we're talking about, and what got us to this point. If all you want to do is relaunch the topic because you've got some new insights, start a new thread, and post a link to the old one.

I promise, it'll go easier on everybody concerned.

Keep in mind, while its not technically a violation of the rules, it irritates the living hell out of about half of the members. Mods are also peacekeepers, so if your necroing a thread is irritating someone else, we'll say something.

Hence, when we ask you not to necro threads....please don't.

Should there possibly be like a bylaw about threads like this, like if your responding opinion based to an OP it's ok.
