Thanks. The closest thing I have to RL experience with armor is driving my neighbor's '52 Chrysler New Yorker. I guess Markus will just have to dial his own phone numbers, or have the gunner do it when not engaged.

I went with three as the base. Driver who operates the bow gun, see the Cain books. Commander/Gunner who aims and fires the weapon in addition to all the commander's duties. Not ideal but it is done from time to time. Finally there's a loader. You cannot honestly expect the commander to not only command the track, aim and fire the weapon, and load the thing. It just doesn't work and as boneheaded as the Imperium can be at times that's even stupid for them.
The vox/auspex operator comes from the facts that:
1) My Chimera has enhanced comms, an auspex, and a sensor mast.
2) The Chimera is rated as being capable of carrying 12 troops and we have 10 man squads.
3) The Chimera is a very rommy vehicle.
4) This is a recce troop first and foremost.
That said I figured dedicated gear for all the electronics made sense as did a dedicated operator. There's room, the Chimera is fitted with the gear, and a recce troop needs to make the most of its sensors and comms.

Makes sense. I got the improved comms and sensor mast as well, but there's no need for a loader with the uber-flamer, and the tanks eliminate that roominess.

So with the departure of Rochey the Leman Russ will be either used as a command vehicle or simply left behind and replaced by a Centaur for the new Lt and the Command Squad to ride around in.

I think a Salamander or Centaur makes more sense, so long as our GM *cough* doesn't have us run into anything requiring the attention of a battle cannon...

You took the hunter-killer missile right?

No, I was trying to limit the number of upgrades I took. If it's OK with you, I'll add a rack of Manticore missiles.

Manticore? Grab a Deathstrike! Vortex warhead for the win!

Is that not the most ridiculously out of proportion vehicle in the whole damn game or what? I know the Imperium has a hard on for Chimera variants but come on.

Yeah, it's a little crazy.

Well I took an HK missile. So long as we don't come up against any concentrated groups of heavy armor we should be ok. We're recce after all, we're more to look than to kill.

Agreed. If you want to, we can all add a H-K missile to make up for the lack of a MBT.

I'd recommend it. I've got two plasma troopers but no meltas. We can deal with light and medium armor if need be but heavy stuff will have our asses if we get forced into a fight.

What say you, fearless GM?

Yeah everyone go ahead and take an HK. I will include a Melta in the Command Squad as well, which can be fired from the front port of the Centaur.
