We've tried, however they don't (or at least their leader doesn't) show any desire for peace with anyone. Every time I hear or talk to someone about KBF. I hear the same thing, "we're going to get them and anyone with them".

Have we began to plan a coordinated assault with our allies to begin to decimate them?

Nothing that can be spoken of here over an open view. :poke:

Unfortunatly, at this point the only thing I think they would accept is us to join them (as in become part of KBF). They only sign NAP's with strong alliances.

Its the whole bully complex. If they can beat on you then they will until you can stomp them in return. Then they start begging for peace. A whole alliance of cowards.

That schmuck that wiped me out suggested I scatter my colonies for better survivability. What do you guys think?

I like having my colonies close together. Easier to defend, easier to move resources. Its all a matter of opinion. Sometimes having a colony in some far off place is good as it gives you a hidden hideout.

I'd hate to have to abandon a planet and start all over again. :picard:

It seems bad at first. But the truth is that when you resettle a planet you get a fresh start and you can build mines to produce what you need. I've found that now I'm trying to build up my crystal production but the energy cost is massive. If I had a world producing only crystal then I would be in better shape. Plus, there's no harm in starting over once in a while.

Realistically, the only way to have a colony for the production of a single resource (in Jason's example, crystal) is to constantly send resources to it so that you just spend them on energy and crystal mines. Otherwise, you have to slowly build up each of the three resource mines until you're at a stage where they're producing enough to self sustain. Either that, or it's a long wait until the low level mines make enough for the upgrade. Sometimes this is a big problem on low field planets (as I've found out to my cost where I made the decision to abandon one or two and try again)

If you have the resources. Put 100k ore, 50k crystal and 10k hydro on a planet. That will allow you to build up non stop for several days. Remember, in a resource colony you want to start building Capitols first. These speed up construction, build several of these then start building your Solar Plants. Once you get both of those to level ten. Start building mines and just let it fly.

As it stands now, each colony is nearly completely self reliant. They are each producing Athena's for my battle group and have about level 13ish mines.
