The Steamrunners are a little more powerful (especially in their forward arsenal) than the Galor/Constellation, so as soon as they were within boxing range they could start throwing some heavy hits.

Aye, Reliant and I had to batter each other a bit after "contact", whereas it appears these two just gauged each others' faces off. Still, it's something :)

This match up seems to be really sluggish. Like these ships are better at not dying than at killing things...

Well the problem is that they're both set up to shoot forward. The one turn they were both in a good Firing range and facing each other was the turn that both ships went from sparkly to having gaping chunks of hull missing. They've been at extreme range and not quite facing each other since then.

Conn phase is up. The computer penalty has really been killing Spocky's maneuvers the past few turns.
