While I love your idea, I just have to ask when it comes to modular wouldn't be a somewhat more simpler to make the attachment point (aft) of the shuttle less 'wavy' and more flat? Or is that just the sides of the shuttle we see and there is a recess?

I think it's the latter, with the basic hull comprising the cockpit with the nacelles extending aft from it like a tuning fork's prongs.

I see. Then cool. Can we see a top view then?

I'm working on a top view, I'll try and get it done soon.

I've posted added a top view to the OP, though I'm not too happy with it, I need to make a few tweaks. I've also lowered the passenger amount and increased the beam length. (does beam length mean the entire length from one side to the the other, i.e. in this case from nacelle edge to nacelle edge, or is it something else).

Also;

It does.

I'm not sure you needed to. The main hull section looks to be about half the total length, i.e., 10m, which is larger than most TNG+ era personnel shuttles. If you consider that to include attachment mechanisms for the pods, specialist gear for mission-specific jobs, etc., then, you're right on.

Didn't need to what, Increase the beam length, or lower the passenger count?

*edit* Also, if it's not too much trouble, could someone double check my calculations for the dimensions,I'm a bit concered I've made a mistake somewhere.

Didn't need to lower the passenger count. A Type-8, at 6m in overall length, has a capacity of 6 passengers plus pilot.

Aye. My admittedly rough measurements make the shuttle to be 7.5m across assuming a 20m length, or 16m long assuming a 6m beam. Height works out as advertised.

I'll use the 7.5m beam option then.

Sorry for double post.

Seafort, do you remember what you found 1m to work out to be on the drawing?

Copying the image into Paint I found the ship to be 800 pixles long by 300 wide, making it 40 pixles to the metre. I don't know if the original is on the same scale or whether it was blown up in the process of uploading it.
