Oh, I'm not saying his movies are bad. I'm just not a fan of him.

He is kind of a d*ck. Apparently.

Can't say I'm too fond of him myself. But I don't dislike him enough to avoid seeing what looks to be a promising movie.

Agreed. Plus, I apparently look like him.

Nice.

I'd like to see an adaptation that puts Robin as the bad guy, with the Sheriff and Prince John as the heroes

They look like Phyllis Diller,

It would certainly be an interesting change of pace.

I'm surprised that hasn't been done already. I mean there's even a Morgan LeFay telling that has her as the good guy.

I thought the movie was pretty historical accurate. It had William Marshal in it, and that guy DESERVES a movie. But, hey why make a movie about a really bad ass historical figure when instead you can just rehash the same stories? When I first saw the Robin Hood trailer I thought for sure it was a movie about William the Conqueror and I was like 'fuck ya' then I saw the green clothes on Russel Crow and then the rest fell into place by the time they said the movie title. Talk about a let down. But yeah, its a good prequel to the Robin Hood story. My only complaint is they had Maid Marian on the battle field... *hits head against wall* Oh wait, :bangwall: , why would you strive for a historical accurate movie and then RUIN it by having some 45 year old maid charge onto the battle field knowing how to fight and actually being strong enough to move? :bangwall: Ruined the movie for me.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Exactly what historical accuracy were you looking for in a film about a purely fictional character? If you're talking about a woman being able to move effectively in a hauberk, well, OK... but there hasn't been a film made yet that accurately depicts the constrictions of Dark Ages - medieval armor.

A Knight's Tale, for all of its many many many other innacuracies, seemed fairly good in its portrayal of how unwieldy late Medieval tournament armour was.

Well tournament armor was different from true combat armor.

Aye, hence why I specified it was tournament armour. :P

But yes, actual combat armour was a lot lighter than its sporting counterpart. Not being able to move on a battlefield = one dead knight.

Better than most, but not entirely accurate. I can't say that for certain, though, because except for Shannyn Sossamon I could barely watch it.
