Problem with that is that before Reed tinkered with them the pistols weren't having any more effect than a post-adaptation phaser. It's more likely that 10MJ is upper limit for the shields of your average Borg, and they needed to modify their shields to resist that firepower.

You can go with half measures if you like. To be on the safe side I'd rather have a few of these:

Plus their owners.

Now, now Deep, there's overkill and there's being silly.

Should have just brought a couple of shotguns. Less effort all around.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

I'll go with Seafort - a gang of Gurkhas is a great equalizer.

Tragically I'm sure that in the Federation even those badasses have become pussified new-men.

I wouldnt mind throwing a few Maori with Taihouis in a room with some Borg and see what happens.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Because you think they'd win, or because you don't like Maoris?

I think the Maori would rip the Borg to pieces.

How about this:
One Roman Legion Vs the entire crew complement of a Borg Cube (the ship is elsewhere for now).
Both sides start 1KM away from each other on an open field.

Let the slaughter begin.
