Indeed he is. What I cant undertand is how he gets into so many franchises and ruins them.
I mean, Suncrusher. Gah!

Don't forget the unparalleled genius that is Corporal Daala. Allegedly a the greatest tactician at the Academy, who then went on to loose every single battle she ever fought, largely through her own incompetance.
And congratulations on the promotion Rochey.

Oh god, don't remind me of her. She makes Janeway look like Sun Tzu.
Thanks, BTW.

I read some of the prequels. The House books were just acceptable, but the far prequels were terrible. Aside from playing merry hell with the canon (the appendix to Dune says that the Orange Catholic Bible was created by a convocation on Earth AFTER the Butlerian Jihad. The Prequels have humans glassing the surface of earth DURING the Butlerian Jihad.), they're just terrible. I really love that this whole thing is driven by one woman's obsession with one dead child. I guess Anderson couldn't write a credible fiery leader capable of inspiring millions to Jihad. That's a task for REAL authors.
