I think on a good day, you might get 200-centimeter visibility in the Gulf...

I'm in the south pacific with water from Antarctica flowing up the coast, we're lucky to get the water temp above 12 degrees C. Hell further south you can see ice bergs sometimes.

We've got water flowing by our coast from Rochey's area - winters are usually 40-50 F, late summer up to about 70. A full 3-2 wetsuit usually does the trick for a few hours in all but the worst winters.

Our water isn't too cold, but I wouldn't exactly like swimming around in it.

Does anyone want to hear about the water out here? Same temp all year long??? 8)

In other words it's bloody freezing all year round.

Yes, I do. Very fashionable ones too, so I try not to get them dirty at the beach or in the water (except the pool)

I've got an awesome pair of Quicksilver shorts, but I never get to use them... Damn Gulf.
