I wouldn't even know what innuendo was there. I was referring to Shinto as the the basis of the yin-yang philosophy, preaching balance of the obverse and reverse of any issue. The idea of knowing the negative as well as positive of anything before being master of it is very much rooted in that philosophy.

I just jumped ahead here. Did somebody already say incorporate a REAL econonic system that would be interfunctional with other species that DID use a monatary system?

Ok, here we go...

My Upgrades start after the Dominion War:

First, Federation goes through and decomissions all casses except: Defiant, Intrepid, Akira, and Soverign.
Build 7 New Classes: (For info on these classes see Seven New Fed Ship Classes Thread)
Long Class
Premiere Clas
Contenentle Class
Survival Class
Virol Class
Einstein Class
Adaptoid Class

We go throught and clean up the Beuocracy in Starfeet, and strip it down to what's necessary. partially seperating Military and Exploration sides of Starfleet. They become less centeralized, with several academy facilities, headquarters capable, and ship design/building.

Transporters are improved so we can actually still transport people when their in trouble and actually need to be transported.

A young promising Engineer, expiraments with warp mechanics and discovers a new way of constructing a warp field, wich has been dubbed the FI or False Imaginary (because it was thought to not exist.) This new field circumvents the 'Warp Barriers' and allows ships even faster speeds:

Vc^(-1) = WF^(log8760)
This means that at WF = 10 a ship would be traveling at 1 lightyear every hour.

The Treaty with the Romulans was renegotiated and the Federation is renegotiated, allowing the Federation the ability to develop cloaking technology. They start off with a phasing cloak system as deployed by the Pegasus. But soon develop a traditional cloak that is able to remain functional
with shields up and while fireing. The Federation then begins automodulating the cloak, making their cloaking signiture almost impossable to trace.

On the militaristic Side, many new wepons are developed.

Calos: A beam wepon designed to upgrade phaser technology. In essance it is simply a phaser, but with an extra-adaptation. It shoots the phaser beam into a a focusing chamber filled with calerons (a newly discovered thermal particle) which reconfigures the energy pattern in the beam to be
more effective, and as a bonus, the energy is incompatable with regenerative shield technology, so they can be used and 100% of the effect goes for the Federation.

Teslic Torpidos: Use an electromagnetic amplifyer inside the torpido with highly magnetic matter and anti-matter. On top of the already considerable explosion, the torpido eminates an electromagnetic field which can disrupt enemy power systems if detonated close enough.

A-Class Torpidos: A Teslic Torpido with Transphasic technoloy as well.

D-Class (B and C weren't ever developed): Uses unstable matter, unstable anti-matter, dark matter, and anti-dark matter in a four way explosion that puts new meaning to the words big bang. The device is also outfitted with Transphasic techlology. (The explosion on this one is so big, Fed council decided it shouldn't be placed on non- militiristic ships. The torpido is only carried on the Contenentle, and Virol Classes.)

Most ships especially militiristic ones are now equipped with primary armor systems over vital areas such as the computer core, Warp Drive Systems, Bridge, and Nescells. Despenceable Ablative armor is also carried on militiristic vessils for more protection.

Two Additions have been made to Federation Shield technology: One is that all shields are automodulating which helps prevent enemies from finding the Ships shield frequencies. As well as developing Regenerative shielding, that not only draws power from enemy fire, but also from spacial quantom activity.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Yeah I disagree with this. The Nova is a fine science vessel and the newer GCS would make excellent explorers so long as they were used for that and not battleships. Also the Steamrunner seems to be a fairly new and well equiped class.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

TOS had a kind of iffy money system, I think credits was mentioned once or twice but people never talked about money much.

OMG! Well played good sir, this masterful parody of Trekkie fanboy's had me in stiches. Literally holding my side with laughter, you'll fit in well here.

Um, maybe I'm just not seeing it, but I think he's being sincere.

True, but at least we know they had money and a capitalistic economy.

That whistling sound you hear is the joke sailing over your head.
