Re: Ship Options
Well I was going to post up the out line for the GQ mission tonight so people could start to plan out their characters and such but I leave it a day and see if a majority like the peaceful colony mission or the exploration/containment GQ mission.
Personally I'm sticking with the GQ as i feel it offers more people a wider range or RP options. With the Klingon and Romulan ships coming along people can have an interesting secondary character and the fact that we are in the GQ will provide action to keep the plot ticking along. Past experience has shown that a plot with little or no combat action tend to stall pretty fast, case in point, the long down period for alpha mission and Starbolts pride.

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: Ship Options
Uh, shouldn't we finish out this mission first? I have an idea for a way to continue, but I need one more post once someone else winds down the combat.

Re: Ship Options
Yeah I've been meaning to post the final destruction of the last few Brotherhood ships but the forums been so busy i havent had the chance.
its gonna take me a while to sort out the next mission so I figure we can finish this one and plan the next one at the same time.

Re: Ship Options
I think, if it could work, I'd keep all my characters - Hewer as the main one, but bring into the foreground my other 'lesser' ones like Zionex, Niles, Jones etc.
Hewer I think would be a Commander as a XO, perhaps as Mikey's XO?

Re: Ship Options
Yip that will work. Mikey as CO of the Daystrom and Thorin as XO. I'll post up a out line of the next mission tonight and let everyone else sort out positions with the guide lines.
I know Monroe was talking about a promotion. I think you could either go as head of Security on the Battleship or head of a MACO like (but not MACO) unit that has been created for our mission.

i'll think i'll keep the Cardie as Daystrom helmsman, but perhaps make it to LT.
Then i'll have another character on the Battleship.

Re: Ship Options
I'm moving Teaos to the Battleship as CSO but not XO. I'll have all the captains as my NPC's but everyone can use them like Fletcher. Fletcher will be captain of the Battleship.

Re: Ship Options
I plan on keeping M'Real on as my main character preferably on the Daystrom, probably being a full commander then.

I'll think of something...
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Re: Ship Options
I guess Rochey will follow Fletcher over to the battleship and take up XO position over there.

Re: Ship Options
Maybe the battleship could be the E-F?
And we'll need some serious stat boosts to all ships - this is 20 years after the Sovereign, even things like the Galaxy are rust buckets by now. We could revamp the fleets so that they're all serious stuff - not this Nova or Intrepid stuff, but all [revamped] Galaxies, Prometheus', Sovereigns, Akiras, Defiants etc.

Re: Ship Options
IIRC, the RPG was ten years after the Dominion war, and we're skipping another ten years for the next one.

Re: Ship Options
10 years later than where we are now, but 20 years after the Sovereign was commissioned (2371).
This will be taking place in about 2390, so while the Sovereign would still pack a punch - particularly after upgrades, theres only so much you can do with existing ships. Mirandas, for example, are ridiculously old during DS9, but they would have been upgraded to the times, but there's a limit. Sovereign's and Galaxies are at least 20 years behind the times.

I'm rushing since I am about to leave on a holiday in a few hours. I'm gonna post the prep thread for Gamma mission and the basic mission lay out like I did for Beta.
