I finally got around to seeing this, and I really don't get why everyone trashed on it. The only reason I can think of is "Anthony Hopkins wasn't in it". I thought it was quite well done, and finally vindicates the stance I've had since Silence of the Lambs: Hannibal is the good guy.

Everyone who liked the other ones should see this one. An explanation for his persona was warranted, IMO, and the one given was excellent.

I saw it... as I recall I thought it was pretty fair, but nothing special.
