I was thinking similar thoughts, then the theme came on and I forgot all about that.

Wonder if there was a clause in his contract that they must kill off the character ala Star Wars??

Seems like that. Though Ford is way up there in age to not be that credible in being an action hero anymore.

This actually depresses me. Hang it up, Harry! You're 80 years old.

Crystal Skull was pretty iffy. I was like watching someone run through a video game.

Ford has notoriously phoned-in his recent performances, which makes the once enjoyable action star...unwatchable!

Me too. The jungle swinging team was the jumping the shark moment for me in the movie. Just too much CGI and the CGI itself wasn't that good. I wished they kept to unpolished feel the originals had which was done on purpose.

Am watching this at the moment , after putting it off for weeks...I should have continued to decline ...what a sad state of the franchaise to put this out there as the Ford swan song...films 1-3 were a nice tryptic where plot and action married well with performances and a dash of humor. ..oh well, no doubt they will reboot it all with younger actors and more cgi at some point...enjoy retirement Indy, you went 3 for 5..not bad.

Finished it and was amazed at how much sampling of earlier film material was going to happen...talk about fan service!!
