I was never overly convinced of that pairing. It seemed wrong, but I couldn't tell you why.

It seemed to come out of nowhere. After years of Chakotay and Janeway edging closer, suddenly this happened.

Yes, it was just kind of forced and sudden, with not a single hint at all prior to it.

Certainly Chakotay and Janeway seemed to have far more chemistry between them. I'm glad that Beltran turned down the offer to "continue" the romance with Seven on Picard.

I was somewhat disappointed that Chakotay's and Janeway's relationship didn't really go anywhere.
