On Tuesday night, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror held its 50th annual Saturn Awards. Three different Star Trek shows went into the evening with a total of six nominations across five categories. The ceremony ran until after midnight and the franchise came away with a single win for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Wow. Not a bad thing. It's the best Star Trek there has been for a while. A million miles better than STD.

Even the actors are getting respect.
Strange New Worlds was also up for a number of acting awards, but didn’t get any wins. Series star Anson Mount (Captain Pike) was nominated for Best Actor in a Streaming Series, but he lost to Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight). Jess Bush (Christine Chapel) lost Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Series to Moses Ingram of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ethan Peck (Spock) lost Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series to Elliot Page (Umbrella Academy).
