Fair enough. It's still great to have the break.

Been struggling really bad with my mental health, but my psychotherapist is helping me get on the council housing list to move back to my hometown where I have family around who I can see and get some support from. Mental health services are crap here, and been getting worse for a long time, and one of my antipsychotics is currently impossible to get hold of at any local pharmacy!

I have started a moderator role on another forum and that's going really well, I am really enjoying it. I am unable to work an actual job at present because I can't deal with being around people and am scared of leaving the flat (I am autistic and schizophrenic. and have social anxiety), so taking on the moderator role gives me something to do every day with a sense that I am doing something that helps the community (it is a large forum with a lot of users, but I moderate a specific subforum and take part in various admod discussions and actions, and help out anyone that needs it on any of the forums or who PM's me a query).

I've been rewatching Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I have now got access to Strange New Worlds, so I will start watching that and maybe give some input on what I think of it on here.

I have taken myself off of Facebook and Twitter, as they are cesspits, and have decided to stick with the couple of forums that I frequent, so hopefully I will become more active on here, as Star Trek has been a love of mine for more than 30 years, and is the reason I started my own universe when I was 8, which I still work on every day (great for my mental health), and so it'd be cool to actually discuss Star Trek more with other folk.

I also just bought the entire Star Wars movie collection (including the three trilogies, Rogue One, and Solo), so I may give you my thoughts on those too when I watch them.

Yeah Facebook isn't the best place for mental health especially if you are like me who reads the comments. I only do it to get a sense on things from the general public. Whether it's politics or movies or sports.

Congrats on being a moderator though.

Oof, sorry about the mental health struggles. :( Sucks about the crap services and not being able to get your antipsychotics. I hope things improve with you, there.

Cool on the moderator role. :) Smart on taking yourself off Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks :)

And yeah, unfortunately I read the comments constantly. I am much happier off of there and on the forum, and moderating will give me something better to focus my energies on.

Thanks. It has been a constant struggle with my mental health since I was a kid, but things just seem to get progressively worse here in the UK. I have noted to the doctor I can't get one of my antipsychotics, so hopefully they'll find me something else to replace it.

And also thanks again, I'm really enjoying moderating. And definitely feel a little better being off of both those sites :)

I got off all social media early 2020 and it’s been amazing. I would miss my friends from around the world, but most of them dropped it as well.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

TBH, I probably could drop it as well. I don't even talk to the 99% of my friends and honestly probably won't care if I miss what they are up to either.

At best it's mainly for me to see new pictures of my family. Like today, my oldest niece is her first day of middle school and my youngest first day of preschool. Tomorrow will be my nephew's first day of 4th grade. That I care about. But I am sure that my sister in law would send me the pictures via text if I wasn't on social media.

Hell I don't even post stuff either. At best I use to argue in closed groups about American Football or chuckle at the fuck ups mechanics find on aircraft during an inspection.

I was converting some video files today and remembered how Graham walked me through the details of the program (that he suggested)...and I smiled!

Ah, Handbrake. I'm still working with them to try and stop it from burning in subtitles.

Damn man. Considering you work at a Walmart and it took this long for you to catch Covid-19, you've done an incredible job of protecting yourself.
