So... I think I've gone crazy. I'm writing a fanfic based off of an old Bangles music video. :D

Which Bangles piece did you choose?

It's a perfect music video mini-movie. I'm expanding and changing some things. The band will be called the Bangles, instead of the 'Lovebeats' like in the video. Also, they didn't win the final contest, but instead are in a Battle of the Bands. With who, you ask?
Time to rock out! :D

So since I had nothing better to do, I spent the weekend changing out my old three knob (hot cold and diverter) into a single handle for my shower.

Home Depot and Lowes sucks. I ended up having to it the hard way because both of those stores don't stock the correct stuff. This is when I had the wall opened up and water shut off. Couldn't wait till Monday for the plumbing depot to open up.

I don't think my neighbors would appreciate me using their water hose to give myself a shower....

Made it through the crazy quick tropical storm, with only some shingles from my neighbors roof landing in the driveway.

Wind gusts were wild, sounding much like super storm sandy howling strength. Scary for sure!

Glad to read you're all right. The power flickered a few times here in NH, got some strong winds and rain.

Same here. It rolled up so fast and ended so quick. Lost power for all of 20 minutes. I didn't even have time to gather my candles and choose a book to read before if came back on.

It was a quick storm too. It was all done by 3pm and it was bright and sunny shortly afterwards.

Was a serious storm.

On the bright side, Hobbiton is born!
Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

If it only had the classic Hobbit round door...

I've always wanted a round door and rounded doorways inside like the classic Hobbit house...alas the closest I've come is a beveled glass insert into the front door with rounded shapes in a sort of Celtic knot pattern.

Looks like the roots of the toppled tree were not in very deep, and the sod simply lifted with the roots when the tree fell.
