I loved the X-wing novels... but Rogue Squadron taking out Coruscant seemed more realistic than when they sortied against some of the star destroyers!
Never been too keen on the whole maxie vs. minie debate, but even I know three million clone troopers is way too kriffin' little. And at least in the Thrawn Trilogy, Palps was pulling in soldiers from the Empire to his own little cabal in the Deep Core and the NRDF wasn't too big to begin with.
