Re: DITL Battle #12 Comments Thread
This is a good one. I can't see much of an advantage to anyone. I have the slight advantage, but not by much.

Sorry about the delay in posting that. One of my professors decided we already knew how to manipulate Einstein's field equations for this last homework so I've been trying to find out how exactly to do that. But Conn phase is finally up. Tac orders please gentlemen.

Um, I'm sorry, but I don't understand the locations. I don't know where I am facing on their ship.

Sorry, I'll correct that....basically his aft is aimed directly at you, and your front is rotated about 17* Counter clockwise from facing him directly.

Wow, this is a serious slugging match. I wonder how two Sovereigns would fare against one another?

Hmmm ... I think it might be best to do a 1v1 slugmatch first and THEN we can add in others and alliances and fleet actions and things.

Well, that was the quickest turn yet, and a lucky one for the Artemis. Also,

Re: DITL Battle #12 Comments Thread
It really wasn't all that lucky in the end. He almost won it last time. the problem was he turned so you were shooting into his shields and he was able to fire with all 4 of his remaining phasers (all of which can fire aft). You never turned around thus he was firing directly on your ship as your forward shields were down, and were limited to using only 2 of your remaining phasers. Admittedly you got some unlucky rolls along with some nasty penalties in terms of trying to get your ship to move around for a while.

Yeah, I just gave up trying to move. It was obvious the gods of "ship manuvers in wargames on a online forum about Star Trek" were not on my side.
